Heart of a Worshipper International Expounded Upon

Objectives

One of the main objectives that we have at Heart of a Worshipper International, is to provide musical instruments and sound related equipment to Christian ministries in need of such things. We consider it "equipping the saints." We have much experience in this area through our contacts all over the world. There is great need for help in most countries.

As of currently in 2007, because of the wonderful donations sent in by our ministry supporters and willing missionaries; we have helped ministries in the Dominican Republic, Poland, Africa, Armenia, Lithuania, Sri Lanka, Iran, and the United States. We have sent sound systems, microphones, keyboards, guitars, drums, power converters, harmonicas, and much more. These ministries have been blessed, and we are having an impact!

(African Ministry)

The need for help may just be for a guitar or acoustical instrument in a place that has no electricity, or for a keyboard, microphones, or even a full sound system for a church in a place where there is reliable electricity. Some ministries even request portable generators to create their own power to run equipment!

We have found that equipment of good-excellent quality is hard to come by in many places. Some countries may have equipment available, but it is of a quality that does not stand up to the constant use that a growing ministry demands. Other times, it is of questionable quality, and priced so high, that the typical ministry could never afford it without help. If the funds are provided, and the equipment is purchased locally, then many times it doesn't last more than a few months before needing repair. Thus the equipment becomes a constant source of frustration and financial drain on the ministry.

This arm of H.O.W.I. came into fruition, because of experiences William Charles had while helping provide sound equipment for a large ministry in Kenya, Africa through his church. The ministry in Africa was growing quickly, and establishing churches almost weekly. They were having open air meetings in which thousands of people would attend, and the limiting factor was the sound equipment, and musical instruments available to them. Speakers, microphones, and even cables purchased in the big city of Nairobi at substantial cost, would break after just a short time of use. The Kenyan ministry desperately desired to get equipment for their meetings...Equipment that was reliable and transportable.

After making contact with them, William began putting together a list of needed equipment with a reputation for reliability and quality sound. This included a Peavey portable PA sound system, a Roland keyboard with arranging capabilities, an acoustic/electric guitar, and various microphones, cables, and even a portable gas powered generator. Large donations of funds were given by people who wanted to be a blessing to the Africa ministry, and the next hurdle was to purchase the equipment and send it to Africa. An extremely cut rate as a donation from United Parcel Service allowed the equipment to be flown to Kenya. Originally the cost would have been well over $10,000.00 just for shipping, but through the kindness of UPS and the grace of God, the equipment was delivered for much less than half of the original amount!

The equipment arrived safely and in perfect working order, and can be seen being used in this picture of the Church Ablaze Convention in Nakuru, Kenya. The equipment was donated to a hard working and trust-worthy ministry, and they still use it to this day in meetings throughout Africa. William Charles went to Africa along with the Resurrection Life Mission Team, and used this equipment to lead worship and teach on worship at the convention at which several thousand people attended. Some people came from as far away as Uganda! Many walked miles and miles, just to be at those meetings!

A concern that arises in trying meet the need for equipment, is that everyone is not honorable in their intentions when they express a need for an equipment donation. We have heard of people running a scam by requesting assistance and sound equipment under the disguise of being a Christian ministry. After they receive equipment, they sell it to make money. This is dishonest, deceitful, and will not be tolerated or supported by H.O.W.I. We will report these scams to the authorities as we discover them. The ministries we have helped, use the equipment to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and make Christian disciples. They use the equipment for years and use it so much, that they wear it out! These are the types of ministries that H.O.W.I. wants to help in the United States, and in foreign countries as reliable relationships are established. H.O.W.I. will not donate equipment or training, unless the need is undeniable and proven. Christian ministries requesting assistance from H.O.W.I. must be in real verifiable need. H.O.W.I. must be able to send a representative to verify the need, or have an established relationship contact through someone that the directors of H.O.W.I. know and trust verify the need.

Heart of a Worshipper International needs donations of money, musical instruments in new or excellent condition that are of a high quality, and all types of sound related and recording equipment. These donations are fully tax deductible. Heart of a Worshipper International is a recognized 501c3 charity ministry, and a receipt will be provided for your donation and for the fair market value of any donated equipment. We will use donations and resources to develop and expand Heart of a Worshipper, and give equipment and training to those in real verifiable need whom God leads us to. Please prayerfully consider donating! A gift of $1200.00 will provide a full sound system and keyboard for a ministry in a foreign land. Think of it! Your donations, will help us train future worship leaders and musicians; and will help us get equipment to ministries in great need.

(William Charles and his mother at a youth convention in Africa)

A keyboard that you help us purchase and give to a ministry, could end up being played at an altar call for thousands of people in India, Africa, Sri Lanka, Columbia, Russia, China, or some other place in the world. A sound system that you help provide, will be used to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to thousands of people over the course of it's useful life. Money that you give will be used to provide training and education to young people interested in learning to play a musical instrument for God's glory. Recording equipment that you help us purchase, will be used to record worship music and teachings that will distributed in the United States, Africa, India, and abroad. Musicians from foreign lands who have no way of recording their music, will be able to do it through Heart of a Worshipper International for FREE. It's all good ground for planting seed!

Any donation dollar amount is wonderful. Monthly donations are greatly needed and appreciated.

If all you have to give is $5.00, then that will purchase a harmonica or guitar strings for a worshipper in need somewhere in this world!

Donations of new and even gently used equipment are greatly appreciated. We will clean the equipment and make it as new looking as possible. Then we will find it a home in ministry.

We are also seeking musical equipment dealers either online or locally, who are willing to give Heart of a Worshipper deep discounts on purchased equipment. This could be a tax benefit for musical equipment dealers (See your accountant).

Purchases of resources from our website, and booking William Charles as a guest speaker and singer at ministry functions such as church services and worship conferences, will also help fund equipment purchases and expand the ministry of Heart of a Worshipper International. We appreciate every donation, and are committed to using what God provides wisely and with great integrity.
